How Gedit Works

My Classes

Here you will see a list of the class you are a part of. To join a new class students will click Join Class and type in the join code you provide which will add them to the class.

My Surveys

Once a student is a part of your class any surveys you put out will automatically show on the My Surveys page, ready for them to complete.

Survey Completion

Students will see a format similar to the one above when completing the survey. The survey mostly consists of multiple choice questions with 1 or 2 open ended ones if you choose to include them.

Questions address our core 4 categories which are typically hard to measure:

Student Readiness and Wellbeing
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
Student-Teacher Relationship
Academic Confidence

Open Ended Questions

Open ended questions allow students to share their thoughts with you more freely and in depth which cannot be achieved through multiple choice.

Anonymity

Students can choose whether they want to reveal their identity or not. This allows students to be completely honest with their answers and comfortably communicate anything they want their teacher to know.

The ability to stay anonymous has led to students sharing sensitive and important opinions with their teachers which they may not have done otherwise. We found that over time less students choose to stay anonymous due to the student-teacher relationship improving and students feeling more comfortable letting their teachers know who they are whilst being honest with their answers.

Monitor student sense of belonging through a DEIB lens with Gedit. Ensure students feel included and reflected in thier classroom environment.

Foster and maintain student relationships with Gedit. Solidify relationships in your classroom with a systematic and formalized way of getting consistent feedback from your students.

Teachers don't have to worry about numbers and data analysis. We will present the results that matter on a dashboard with insights which are quick and easy to digest and act upon. We don't stop there, Gedit helps with next steps by generating recommendations that help teachers work through key concerns.
